Listen to the Protomen and LIGHT UP your NIGHT. This is one of my favorite bands, combining incredible talent with an awesome rock opera they wrote providing a touching backstory to a series nobody really expected to have one: Megaman. Their two albums tell the story of Megaman’s fight to reclaim the Earth from Dr. Wiley’s grip and prove himself to both his father, Dr. Light, and the memory of his fallen brother, Protoman. The second act explains Dr. Light’s first clash against Dr. Wiley, back when they invented the first robots, and how the world came to an Orwellian 1982-esque state.
